Fab Font Friday:: Emily Lime

Fab Font Friday has rolled around once again - it's truly scary sometimes how fast the days go! It's been a very mixed week in terms of projects; I've been working on a vintage invitation design including a custom designed map, a promotional postcard for a good friend in the industry, day-of stationery for autumn and winter themed weddings and last but not least, the next addition to our Signature Design Collection. I like that my projects are so varied - it makes things interesting and means I never get bored!

Today's font is oh so pretty and very sweet. Called Emily Lime, it's the namesake font of the foundry that designed it and is all handwritten whimsy. It has lots of playful alternates to keep things interesting and it also has a frame-builder so you can add borders to your artwork which comes in very handy!

This cute handwritten font is a different take on the more formal script fonts and allows you to create pieces that have a whimsical feel. It's perfect to use when designing for a casual wedding or if you're creating artwork for babies and kids. Best of all, if you're only going to be using it for personal projects, you can download words written in the Emily Lime script for free from DaFont (the full font is available through MyFonts).

Have fun experimenting!

ps. The quote above is from one of my favourite Beatles songs 'Because'.
